Create Your Own Charming Front Door this New Year

A Charming Refresh for 2025!

Now that the decorations are packed away, you might find yourself tackling a little reorganization or refresh after the joyful clutter of the holidays. If you’re looking to give your front door a fresh new look, look no further for inspiration than our House #21 Door Print — a charming entryway that’s perfect to recreate during this particularly chilly start to the year.

This door strikes a perfect balance of clean, classic design with subtle nods to both the past and present. It's minimal yet elegant, and most importantly, low-maintenance!

Let’s talk about the colors: There’s something about pink and green that just works, don’t you think? For this door, we chose from the Sherwin Williams Colors of Historic Charleston. The house color is Sarah Hopton Pearl [DCR047 NRH] and the door color is Romney [DCR085]. Both hues are muted but still capture the timeless charm of Charleston and Caribbean color combinations, bringing warmth and sophistication without overwhelming the space.

The planters for House #21 truly caught my eye. A modern twist on the classic terracotta planter, paired with young citrus and olive trees, draws your gaze upward toward the door. On the steps, a pair of beautifully embellished stone planters add a pop of purple from sturdy Coral Bells — perfect for winter’s muted palette.

A modern, stylish sconce and brass door fixtures complete the look, adding just the right touch of elegance.

This front door is simple yet striking, and easy to recreate on a porch or stoop — it would complement a variety of homes. I especially love the simplicity of the trees in place of overflowing planters; they create a clean, fresh look that feels both inviting and refined.
